Se ha venido estableciendo que el paso del barroco al neoclasicismo supone un cambio profundo en la estética artística y se presenta muy frecuentemente en nuestro país a través del conjunto más importante de los realizados en ese momento: las pinturas del Palacio Real de Madrid, en las que interviene en un primer momento uno de los teóricos más importantes del neoclasicismo, Antón Rafael Mengs, y las culmina uno de los pintores más representativos de la continuidad del tardobarroco en el XIX, Vicente López.
Population Growth and Manufacturing Real Wages in 18th Century England: A Spatial Perspective

We develop a two-region population growth model of economic geography and show that a process of urbanization has a substantial impact on the evolution of manufacturing real wages. Whereas real wages decline as the population increases when the spatial structure of the economy is fixed, they actually rise in the long-run when factors are mobile. Agglomeration may hence be seen as a rational response to declining real wages and provides a new explanation of why manufacturing real wages did not decline prior to the Industrial Revolution in England, despite a historically unprecedented population growth.

This article proposes a study of the traditions in defensive architecture that concurred in the projects designed by Spanish military engineers for the fortification of the Valencian frontier in 1648 and 1649, in the context of the War of Catalonia (1640-1652). For this it is essential to follow the route of the Valencian adaptations to the military revolution in the matter of fortifications throughout the sixteenth century and compare them with those brought to Valencia in 1641 by the Marquis of Leganes and his engineers from the school of Milan.

The object of this paper is to look at the extent and nature of the uses of analogy during the first century following the so-called scientific revolution.Using the research tool provided by JSTOR we systematically analyze the uses of “analog” and its cognates (analogies, analogous, etc.) in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London for the period 1665–1780. Co-evolution of three mega-trends nurtures un-captured GDP – Uber's ride-sharing revolution

Uber used a disruptive business model driven by digital technology to trigger a ride-sharing revolution. The institutional sources of the company’s platform ecosystem architecture were analyzed to explain this revolutionary change. Both an empirical analysis of a co-existing development trajectory with taxis and institutional enablers that helped to create Uber’s platform ecosystem were analyzed. The analysis identified a correspondence with the “two-faced” nature of ICT that nurtures un-captured GDP. In northern Finland, reindeer-herd management has experienced two major transitions: extensification of intensive herding, and development of supplementary/corral feeding in winter. The transistions were studied in six herding associations in different parts of the Finnish reindeer management area. It was suggested that intensive herding turns into more extensive forms as the reasons for intensive herding (predation, reindeer disappearing to foreign areas, protection of agricultural fields) gradually ceased to exist.
